FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Being one of their largest financial investments people typically have a bunch of questions prior to makingany decisions , below are a few of the more common ones…
Unless you’re a qualified roofing professional, most roofing jobs should never be undertaken yourself. Additionally remember that a lot of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the work. Something else to bear in mind is that working on a roof is going to be very dangerous, so is it really worth endangering your health so you can save money?
It would be great if we could give you a simple response to that question! However there really is no single answer fits all for every question like that. There are several different products available and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. To know which is the ideal roof for your home, you ought to have an expert come and examine your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they see, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.
It actually is dependent on the type of roof you currently have and what surveys are mandated. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on certain days then this will definitely add more time to the job. A small home may take around a week or so, whereas much larger commercial jobs may be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just make certain your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Considering that your roof is constantly exposed to the outside elements, this means your roof is will break down gradually. The speed at which it deteriorates will depend on a range of variables. Those include; the quality of the original components that were used along with the workmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the style of the roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be promised because of the above issues. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should not ever pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of removing any protective minerals that have been included to offer cover from the weather. Also, you really should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners since they could also cut down the life of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will remove the undesirable algae and yellowing without destroying the tile or shingles.

More About Greenbelt, MD
Greenbelt is a city in Prince George’s County, Maryland, United States, and a suburb of Washington, D.C.[1][2] Greenbelt is notable for being the first and the largest of the three experimental and controversial New Deal Greenbelt Towns, planned and built by the Federal government.[6] The cooperative community was conceived in 1935 by Undersecretary of Agriculture Rexford Guy Tugwell, whose perceived collectivist ideology attracted opposition to the Greenbelt Towns project throughout its short duration.[7][6] The project came into legal existence in the spring of 1935. On April 8, 1935, Congress passed the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935.[8][7] Under the authority granted to him by this legislation, President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued an executive order, on May 1, 1935, establishing the United States Resettlement Administration (RA/RRA).[7]
Originally referred to as Maryland Special Project No. 1, the project was officially given the name Greenbelt when the Division of Suburban Resettlement of the Resettlement Administration began construction on January 13, 1936, approximately eight miles north of Washington.[6] The complete Greenbelt plans were reviewed at the White House by President Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt on April 30, 1936.[6] The first tenants, after being selected through a stringent and restrictive application process, moved into the town, which consisted of structures built in the Art Deco, Streamline Moderne, and Bauhaus architectural styles, on September 30, 1937.[6]
