FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their biggest expenditures people usually have a plenty of questions prior to makingany decisions , listed here are a number of the most commonplace ones…
Unless you are a trained roofing professional, most roofing tasks should not be performed yourself. In addition keep in mind that the majority of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those items unless a licensed professional carries out the task. The other thing to bear in mind is that working on a roof could be very risky, so is it really worth endangering your health in order to save money?
It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a simple response to this question! But there really is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are a lot of unique products readily available and each one will have its own advantages and faults. To determine which is the right roof for you, you should have a contractor come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they have seen, your roof design, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely depends on the type of roof you currently have and exactly what surveys are needed. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on certain days then this is going to add more time to the job. A smaller home could take about a week or so, while larger industrial jobs can be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just ensure that your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Because your roof is constantly subjected to the outside elements, it means your roof is will deteriorate with time. The speed at which it degrades will depend on a number of factors. Those include; the quality of the original components used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be promised due to the above factors. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You shouldn’t ever pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of eliminating any covering materials that have been added to give protection from the weather. Additionally, you really should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they may also decrease the lifespan of your roof. When you converse with your roof cleaning expert, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will remove the ugly algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

Most house owners only focus on their roofing systems when there is obvious damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Fact is, with routine assessment such issues are usually evaded.
