When a camera has been deleted from the System, access to its footage is lost. To make such footage available again the index that maps the System to physical storage locations must be restored – see "Restoring Archives".

After the archive is restored, the deleted camera will again be displayed in the Resource Tree. Though the device will be marked offline and is not available for live video, it is possible to navigate through its archive.
