5 Ingredients Homemade Cranberry Sauce


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 3/4 cup of orange juice
  • Zest of an orange
  • Zest of a lemon or dash of lemon juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon of stevia
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional, or other sweeteners if preferrable

Directions

Stove Top
  1. Combine all ingredients into a medium sized saucepan and cook over low heat for 30 minutes to an hour (or more for even saucier sauce). Mash with a wooden spoon at end to break up the cranberries.
  2. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
Slow Cooker
  1. Cook on low for 3-4 hours and mash with a wooden spoon at end to break up the cranberries.
  2. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
  3. *Note: Can be refrigerated for up to a week or store in the freezer for 1 month.
