Continental respects and understands the importance of your privacy and is committed to affording complete
protection to the personal information of our customers who use our products and services.
WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?
PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED
We collect the following information from users: name, username/email address, and password. We may
collect certain nonpersonal information passively from users, such as the date and time of visit, time
spent on the content, Device ID, the type of browser used (e.g., Chrome, Firefox), the type of operating
system used (e.g., Windows, Mac OS), and the ISP from which the user receives Internet access. This
information may be combined with the personal information. We do not link IP addresses to anything
personally identifiable. This means that a user’s session may be tracked, but the user will be anonymous.
USER INFORMATION FOR SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE
When you register to use our application and create user IDs, we collect information that is unique to the
user and identifies the user. This may include the user’s name and email address, all in accordance with
applicable law. Some information is required, and other information is optional. Sometimes information
regarding eligibility may be required.
PARENTAL CONSENT
In case of self-registration by a user below age 13, a parent/guardian should agree to this Privacy Policy while
registering the user so that the student user account can be activated. For the user below age 13, the
parent/guardian email address provided by the school is used to notify parents about their child’s access to the
application. In that notification, parents are provided a link to this Privacy Policy to provide consent to use the
application. After parental consent, the child’s account will be activated.
WHERE IS THE DATA STORED?
Information and data files collected from the customer are stored on the servers of companies we hire to provide
services to us. Specifically, our servers are housed with AWS within the United States. We do not share, sell, or
lease any kind of information collected to any third parties for their marketing uses.
HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION COLLECTED?
We use this information to:
provide an interactive online learning experience.
allow you use of our products and applications and respond to your requests.
provide you with the services, support, or information requested and monitor effectiveness.
operate, maintain, and add to the features and functionality of our application.
improve our application’s user experience and communicate better to engage users.
monitor aggregate metrics to better understand our customersneeds.
analyze, diagnose, and fix issues within our application.
DO WE DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION TO OUTSIDE PARTIES?
In all cases, collected information is not shared with any third party. It is used by Continental as specified above or
to prevent/respond to protection of applications. In some cases, we may share information with those that
provide us with technology services (e.g., web hosting and analytics services), but strictly for the purpose of
carrying out our work. All such vendors used by us are EU GDPR compliant and have signed a Data Protection
Agreement with Continental to secure your data. Continental Press’s use and transfer to any other app of information
received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
DO WE USE COOKIES?
We use cookies and do not pass or capture any personal information apart from username. We do not use cookies
(or other nonconsensual methods) to acquire contact information about the user or other users of the computer.
We may passively collect information on site usage patterns or through content that users, including child users,
access on our application.
HOW DO WE SECURE INFORMATION COLLECTED?
We understand that the security of your information is vital and have in place strong administrative, technical, and
physical security controls and measures to keep data safe and secure. To protect information stored in our servers,
through Amazon Web Services in the US, access is limited (through user/password credentials and two factor
authentication) to those employees who require it to perform their job functions. We use industry-standard
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to safeguard the account registration process and sign-up
information. Other security safeguards include, but are not limited to, multifactor authentication, data encryption,
firewalls, and physical access controls to buildings and files.
RIGHTS OVER YOUR PERSONAL DATA
By law you have the right to:
be informed about the processing of your personal data (i.e., for what purposes, what types, to what
recipients it is disclosed, storage periods, any third-party sources from which it was obtained).
object to your personal data being processed for a particular purpose or to request that we stop using
your information.
ask us to transfer a copy of your personal data to you or third party where technically feasible and
otherwise required by applicable regulations.
withdraw, at any time, any consent that you have previously given to us for our use of your personal data.
request access to your personal data.
request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete
or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected. It is important that the personal data we hold
about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during your
working relationship with us.
request the erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove your data.
Any request for access to or a copy of your personal data must be in writing.

TERMS OF USAGE FOR CONTINENTAL EBOOKS
Usage rights, third-party access, duplication, printing, storage
Unless otherwise specified, digital content (eBooks) is licensed, not sold. The user is granted nonexclusive,
nontransferable license(s) for use of the eBook and all related files.
The user is not authorized to grant access to the eBook, in whole or in part, to any unlicensed third party
to sublicense, to transfer, to distribute, to transmit, to timeshare, or to rent out the eBook.
Making the eBook available on the Internet or other networks, reselling the eBooks, distributing or
transmitting via other electronic means, and/or any use for commercial purposes is not permitted.
Inclusion of the eBook, in whole or in part, in a user’s own print or online publication is not permitted.
Copying, distributing, or transmitting of eBook content is not permitted.
The above conditions also apply to any audio, video, or other files that accompany the eBook.
Content alteration, third-party rights
The user may create and save bookmarks, highlights, notes, and assessment data as provided by the
functionality of the program. The user is not authorized to create derivative works based on the contents
of the eBook, nor to use these contents in any way that would infringe the copyrights in this material.
Any proprietary or copyright notices, disclaimers, digital watermarks, trademarks, onscreen notices,
labels, or other marks must not be removed or suppressed from the eBook in any way.
Registration, access details
The user is provided with login credentials upon registration with Continental eBooks. Access to the
licensed eBooks is via the customer account. Registration is via email (username) and password.
Registration is only possible when all mandatory fields are completed truthfully.
The password must be kept secure by the user. It must not be passed on to third parties. If a user
becomes aware of anything that indicates that a third party may have acquired access to his or her
password or may be using it, the user must change the password immediately or request the publisher to
do so.
Accessibility
The publisher makes no warranties as to continuous unlimited access to the licensed eBooks. Disruptions
or service failures cannot be ruled out.
The publisher reserves the right to alter, expand, limit, or discontinue the environment in which eBooks
are made available and to remove data at any time and without further notice. The publisher accepts no
liability for data losses.
Misuse
The publisher reserves the right to investigate occurrences of suspected unauthorized use or other
contract violations and to take appropriate actions, in particular to deny the purchaser further access to
the licensed eBooks, either in full or in part, temporarily or, in case of major violations, permanently.
