E-Lit App is a product of CI Liftoff, LLC that offers digital delivery of reading materials and other digital resources for world language education. E-Lit App functions as an unlimited subscription model by which teachers and other stakeholders may purchase access to our extensive library of student and teacher materials and by which teachers may manage their roster of students to lead a data-driven educational experience and online learning opportunity.
We (E-Lit App and CI Liftoff) take student privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) outlines the types of information that may be collected or processed by us, either actively or passively, when users interact with E-Lit App. These interactions include but are not limited to registering, installing, downloading, accessing, or otherwise using the content or digital applications we provide.

In terms of collecting data for children, the E-Lit Application collects only the data that is provided by a teacher/group leader of the E-Learning Application. We may collect certain non-personal information passively from children, such as the date and time of visit, time spent on the content, Device ID, the type of browser used (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer), the type of operating system used (e.g., Windows 8, Mac OS) and the ISP from which the children receives Internet access. This information may be combined with the personal information.
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and other laws have been established to protect the privacy of minors, and we regularly review procedures to comply with these laws and to protect the children.

Educator Users and Student Data
Those users using the Platform in association with a teacher, school, district, or other educational stakeholder (a “School”), your Educator Users (administrator or teacher) may have the ability to access, use, change, monitor, export, or otherwise edit Student Data. Educator Users may have additional features by which they are allowed to create accounts on behalf of students and in so doing, provide us with Student Data. Educator Users agree to obtain and maintain all required consents from Student Users or their legal guardians/parents for those users under the age of 13 or the age of consent in their state of residence.
Student Users using our Platform in association with a school may contact us directly at help@ciliftoff.com if you believe you or your parent/guardian has not provided consent to the School or Educator Users associated with your account to perform the following tasks: access, monitor, use, edit, delete, or disclose your Personal or Usage data.
Privacy Policy Changes
It is our policy to notify users of any changes we make to this Privacy Policy. Any time a material change is made in the way we treat users’ personal data, we will notify users in advance by posting the new privacy policy on this page. The date the policy was last revised may be identified on this page.
