Uno is a popular and fast-paced card game known for its simplicity and the strategic element of announcing color changes. The objective is straightforward: be the first player to get rid of all the cards in your hand. The game begins with each player being dealt a hand of seven cards, and the remaining deck is placed face down to form the draw pile, with the top card flipped face up to start the discard pile. Players take turns in a clockwise direction, and on their turn, they must match the color, number, or symbol of the card currently on the discard pile. Matching can be achieved by playing a card of the same color, a card with the same number (regardless of color), or a card with the same symbol (like Skip, Reverse, or Draw Two). If a player cannot match a card, they must draw one card from the draw pile. The twist that adds excitement is the special "Wild" card, which allows the player to choose the color that the next player must match. Furthermore, the "Wild Draw Four" card not only lets the player pick the color but also forces the next player to draw four cards and lose their turn. The game progresses quickly, demanding players to remember the color that was last called while also planning their strategy to get rid of their remaining cards. The first player to empty their hand wins the round, and the game typically continues with multiple rounds until one player achieves a predetermined number of points, earned by being the first to finish a round.
