The 21 points card game, often played with a standard deck of 52 cards, operates on a simple yet strategic basis. The goal is to accumulate a hand value as close to, but not exceeding, 21 points. Each card is assigned a point value: number cards (2 through 10) are worth their face value, face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are each worth 10 points, and Aces are uniquely valued at either 1 or 11 points, depending on which value benefits the player's hand total without causing it to surpass 21. Gameplay typically involves one or more players being dealt cards, often one at a time, and deciding whether to "hit" (take another card) or "stand" (keep their current total and end their turn). The challenge lies in managing the risk: taking an additional card could bring you closer to 21, but also risks going "bust" if the total exceeds 21 points, resulting in an immediate loss for that round. The first player to choose to stand with a hand value of 21 wins, or the player who goes bust loses; if multiple players are involved, the winner is often the one whose hand value is closest to 21 without busting.
