The Story Behind The Heist

The Diamond Casino & Resort has been taken over by the Duggans, a powerful Texan petrochem magnate. Georgina Cheng, Vice President of Cheng Holdings, wants to take down the Duggans and reclaim her family's business. She needs your help to plan and execute a heist like no other. Join forces with Georgina and hacker genius Lester Crest to infiltrate the casino and steal its valuable loot.

Heist Structure

The Diamond Casino Heist is unlike previous heists in GTA Online. There are several setup missions, which will differ based on the approach you decide to take. Players can collect certain pieces of equipment, allowing them to practice elements of the heist and increase their likelihood of success. Failing specific scenarios won't mean the end for the heist as a whole; instead, it'll shift the team into a new scenario.

Heist Setup Missions

There are several setup missions to complete before initiating the heist. These missions can be launched from the Heist Setup Board in the Underground Hideout and revolve around intel acquisition. These one-time missions provide valuable information and equipment to aid in the heist. Once completed, players will need to choose a heist approach.

Heist Approach

Players have three options for entering the vault:

  1. Silent & Sneaky: Attempt to enter the vault undetected, giving you the least resistance and the longest amount of time to steal from the vault.
  2. The Big Con: Pass yourself off as workers, creating minimal resistance and requiring finesse.
  3. Aggressive: Enter the vault by force, using weapons to overcome extreme levels of resistance.

After choosing an approach, heist prep will begin. Setup is free for the player's first time, and after completing the Heist Finale, the player can start Setup again for GTA $100,000 after a 10-minute cooldown.

Heist Prep Missions

Heist Prep will change based on the heist approach chosen by the group leader and which ones are completed. This will determine the various bonuses, equipment, weapons, vehicles, and crew available in the Heist Finale. Players can select their Heist Crew based on various factors, each contributing a particular skillset to the job.

Heist Finale

Once players have chosen their approach and completed prep missions, the Heist Leader can initiate the finale. This stage will vary wildly based on the approach chosen, the intel gathered during the Setup phase, and the equipment obtained. The Heist Finale requires 2-4 players to initiate.
