How Ludo Works

The game starts with four tokens placed in each player's starting box. In turns, each player rolls a dice to determine how many spaces they can move their token. If a 6 is rolled, the player's token can start moving from the starting point. The main goal of the game is to take all four tokens inside the HOME area before the other opponents.

Basic Rules

  • A token can only start moving if the dice roll is a 6.
  • Each player gets a turn-wise chance to roll the dice. If they roll a 6, they'll get another chance to roll the dice again.
  • All tokens must reach the center of the board to win the game.
  • The token moves clockwise according to the number rolled on the dice.
  • Knocking out an opponent's token gives you an extra chance to roll the dice again.
