Cheonan, a city located in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea, is often referred to as "the nation's core city" due to its strategic position. Sejarah

Cheonan has a long history of being an important transportation hub in Korea. Its proximity to Seoul and its location near a gap in the eastern mountain range make it a crucial point for accessing major southeast hubs such as Daegu and Busan. For centuries, Cheonan's Samgeori park has been an important center for transportation and cultural exchange.

Independence Hall of Korea

The Independence Hall of Korea is South Korea's largest museum, covering an area of 23,424 square meters. Since its establishment in 1987, it has attracted tourists and locals alike who are interested in the country's history and progress. The museum features seven exhibition halls that showcase the country's freedom movement and current history. Visitors can also watch documentaries at the on-site theater.

Gagwonsa Temple

Gakwonsa Temple is located halfway up Taejosan Mountain, a natural feature in Cheonan. The temple was dedicated on May 9, 1977 to pray for the reunification of North and South Korea. It features a bronze figure of Buddha and is the second-largest temple in Gyeongju after Bulguksa Temple.

Postal Museum

The Postal Museum was originally located on the fourth floor of Seoul's main post office but relocated to Cheonan in February 2004. The museum covers the full history of the postal system in a quick and easy-to-see manner.

Beartree Park

Not far from Cheonan, Beartree Park is located in Sejong. The park was founded by entrepreneur Lee Jae-yeon and features a stunning collection of flora and animals. Indoor and outdoor botanical gardens, junipers, wild flowers, irises, and bonsais are meticulously maintained. Visitors can also see a family of deer, bears, birds, and other animals.
