What if just thinking about lifting weights, taking a bath or stretching could give you the same effects as going to the gym?
Another study found raising your body temperature by one degree by taking a warm bath (and also as you do in exercise) can help lower blood sugar levels and burn calories as efficiently as a 30 minute walk!
Lastly, it was found that lightly stretching after meals assisted or on your own, could lower blood sugar levels by up to 23% (similar to regular exercise). We definitely do not recommend doing these activities in lieu of your daily exercise, but what if we added these ideas to our daily routines? Below is the heart rate graph of my Wed Nov 14 jog.  Underneath that is a chart of the results. I know this has nothing to do with exercise or health, but I just had to show my Elton John video, which I took at his concert here in Sydney at the Entertainment Centre on Friday November 16th 2012.
I suspect the reason why my Nov 5 failed to bring down my fasting sugar levels, despite keeping everything the same with cinnamon and exercise was that I had a relatively high fat meal (turkey leg) and a few fish oil doses along with my cinnamon shortly before the jog.  Did the increased lipids in my bloodstream somehow affect my metabolism to interfere with the way cinnamon worked the time before on Nov 2?  The heart rate graph from Nov 5 showed no slowing of recovery time, a sign of overexertion and a cause of post exercise elevations in FPG.
Overexertion On Nov 7 Jog – Rise in FPG Expected – But Turbocharged by Timing of Cinnamon? Furthermore, if the timing of taking supplements is such a big factor, as it is here with cinnamon, will taking other supplements (antioxidants, resveratrol etc) help the body lower oxidative stress that I’m sure is happening with myself when I overexert on the jogging field.
When the correct exertion level for the AIT jogs has been found (which I need to do for myself in the weeks ahead), then cinnamon holds out the promise of being an effective tool for naturally lowering blood sugar levels.
I suspect that the increase in the number of sets in the heart rate range of the early 150s (a range derived from my October 3 2012 calculations) during the first couple of weeks in October  was, in fact, too strenuous for me. When performing fixed durations of jogging sets in interval training, typically  half a minute, a minute, or a couple of minutes, if your heart rate becomes slow in dropping down to the recovery heart rate (usually 120 beats),  like it did above,  treat it as an early warning sign.  It says STOP THE EXERCISE!!
This is a long blog post, a blow by blow account of how I came to realize the possibility of a strong glucose lowering effect of cinnamon when taken just before  an AIT jog.  To jump directly to the conclusions of this blog post, just click here to go straight to conclusions. In other words, two similar AIT jogs, performed in about the same way, led to opposite results on morning fasting blood glucose levels.  A paradox. Halloween Jog Puzzle – Did Taking Cinnamon Before Rather Than After Make a Difference? Blood Sugar, also know as blood glucose, is the main fuel that body uses to produce energy. Glucose produced from the ingested carbohydrates, proteins and fats is directly absorbed into the bloodstream. The volume of sugar in the bloodstream changes throughout the day according to your food intake. Maintaining a healthy glucose level in the bloodstream is very important for the healthy functioning of the body.

Vegetables which have less or no starch like broccoli, beans, peas and spinach can help in maintaining the sugar level in your blood.
Strawberries are good for controlling the diabetes because they are rich in fiber and water content. Recent studies proved that cinnamon has the capability to work like insulin to digest sugar.

Stretching seems to replicate the tension on the muscle, like exercise and allows the body to move sugar from the blood stream into the cells. I had front row seats and was able to go up to the stage towards the end of the performance. I’m hypothesizing that the cinnamon potentiates or increases, in a catalytic fashion, the effect on blood sugar levels of the AIT jogs, for good or bad.  If the AIT jog is correctly peformed, without overexertion, leading to a physiologically therapeutic outcome, could it be the cinnamon drives down the sugar levels even more?  On the other hand, if my AIT jog is unduly strenuous, taking cinnamon could possibly exacerbate the swing in blood sugar upwards? Diabetics especially those suffering from type 2 diabetes will surely benefit from regular physical activity. Levels may vary if you take lot of sugary food or food items which are rich in carbohydrates.
If you ingest foods which contain a higher fibre content it slows down the process of digestion and results in the slow release of glucose. The carbohydrates and calorie content in strawberries are very low when compared to candies or chocolates. Lean meat does not have a vital role in controlling diabetes but they do they have low glycemic index and it take more time to digest it.
