Well whatever be the cause, result is that after taking meals the level of sugar in blood increases steeply and remains so for quite some time. Sugar is stored in Liver, in muscles of Arms, Legs, Back etc and in Fat cells, while there are some other types of cells like those of brain and kidneys which depend on the sugar present in blood for their energy needs .
