When you are travel with low cost carrier, one of the thing that you need to understand is the airline baggage allowance.
For security reasons, certain restrictions have been introduced to limit the amount of liquids, aerosols and gels (LAG) that guests may include in their cabin baggage on international flights. LAG items such as drinks, creams, perfumes, sprays, gels and toothpaste must be in containers that have a maximum capacity of 100 ml.
Each passenger is limited to only one transparent re-sealable plastic bag with a volume no greater than one litre and dimension no larger than 20 cm x 20 cm. Checked baggage can be pre-booked at a discounted rate online or standard rate at the airport check-in counters.
Note: Checked baggage weight can only be shared with passengers in the same booking number. Prebooked supersize baggage is baggage allowance that you book if you are going to check in baggage.
Excess baggage is defined as baggage weight exceeding the prebooked checked baggage limit of up to 40kg for both AirAsia and AirAsia X flight. A minimum of 15kg of checked baggage may be purchased at first instance and you can UPSIZE at the incremental weight of 5kg or SUPERSIZE it to 40kg. If you UPSIZE or SUPERSIZE your baggage online four hours or more before scheduled departure, you can save at least 50% on charges. AirAsia No Monkey Business Promo AirAsia No Monkey Business Promo Airasia is having its Chinese New Year promotion called No Monkey Business. Smaller musical items such as a guitar, cello, violin or viola which exceed AirAsia cabin baggage dimensions provided it is within 7kg may be carried in the cabin if a seat for it has been reserved and the appropriate fare paid. Low Cost Business Class flights, another way of transport, but is it comfortable and worth it ?
AirAsia X is the long haul carrier from Air Asia, and they only have the Premium Business Class service onboard the A330’s. We flew from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur with the low cost short haul carrier AirAsia onboard the A320. You buy your own drinks and food, but the prices are cheaper than if you go to a bar in your town. We stayed for a few days at the great Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, my favorite hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
A great hotel with stunning views towards the Petronas Twin Towers, the world famous Skybar and really excellent guest services. I have flown with many great Airlines in their First – and Business Class products, but what about a low cost Business flight?

The Quiet zone is strategically located right behind the Business Class seats, this area (row 7-14) is with minimal noise, no disturbance and with special ambience lighting.
The cheapest Business Class return fare, leaving Kuala Lumpur to Sydney and than to Canberra was € 2.710,00 for a return flight. We would get a perfect service, free drinks and meals, great inflight entertainment and a Lie Flat Seat to have a great night sleep. We would depart from KLIA international Airport, have access to the Business lounge and the total travel time would be 10 hours and 40 minutes till Canberra Airport.
All this service for a price of € 2.710,00 return a person, but it offers more than I want ( just a good sleep ) and the price is not cheap at all. In 2009, Air Asia X started low cost flights from London and in 2011 they also started a service from Paris to Kuala Lumpur. A flight from 8 hours and 5 minutes and they offer a Premium Business Class Service with a Lie Flat Seat. For a Premium Class return flight leaving Kuala Lumpur to Sydney, the price would be € 859,00 for a return flight. A lot cheaper than the € 2.710,00 for a flight with Malaysia Airlines, but this price was to Canberra. The problem with early arrivals in Sydney and departures by plane to Canberra in the morning is, that most of the times the flights are been cancelled due to the fog.
It takes quite a long time to get from the International Airport to the Domestic airport and you have to be there at least 45 minutes before you flight will depart.
That is why I found a faster way to get from Sydney to Canberra and arrive in the middle of the city from Canberra. There is a new Express Bus Service from Murrays which takes you from Sydney International Airport  to Canberra City Centre. The best thing is that it takes only 3 hours and 15 minutes from the moment you depart Customs till you arrive in Canberra.
The bus stops direct outside the arrival terminal and leaves every hour and starts as early as 6.15 am for only $ 29,00 AUD, about € 22,00 one way. If I would take this AirAsia X flight and the Coach services from Murrays, it would cost me € 903,00 and my total travel time would be 11 hours. We would arrive wright where I would have to be, namely in the centre from Canberra and not at the airport. We booked a ticket with AirAsia X, but what will we get for this price and can we have a good night sleep ? As the Premium Business Class was fully booked ( they only have 12 Lie Flat Seats ) we booked two seats in the Quite Zone, for our flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney. The check-in service was very friendly and they even checked, if there where still some seats left in the premium cabin.
But unfortunately the Premium Cabin was full, so the first section would be flown in the Quite Zone.
Priority Pass is the perfect solution for airlines that don’t have a own business lounge, or if you have to fly low cost between certain destinations. Fort just a small amount a year, you can get 10 Business Lounge visites and you can invited guests for just as little as € 24,00. Priority Pass is a must for the business traveller, especially if you have long transfer times between flights. The lounge has all the features you normally expect, but this is a wellness Spa including a hairdresser. The Quite Zone, just behind the Premium Cabin, has seats, just like the Economy class seats. You have to be al least 10 years old to make a booking in this section, so no crying babies here.
The leather seats where good, but for a Red Eye flight not comfortable to get a goodnight sleep. On our way back we had 2 confirmed Premium Business Class seats, and again the 12 seats where all booked.
The service provided by the Cabin Crew was really great, as you would expect from an Asian Carrier.
We took a quick meal after take-off and went for a 7 hours sleep, waking up just before the landing at Kuala Lumper KLIA2 Airport.
This is a perfect product for people who don’t want to pay too much for a flight and just want a goodnight sleep.
If you want to eat or drink they just pay 1 euro for a soft drink and € 1,50 for a cold beer.
AirAsia X is the long haul carrier from Air Asia, and they only have the Premium Business Class service onboard the A330’s.
In 2009, Air Asia X started low cost flights from London and in 2011 the also started a service from Paris to Kuala Lumpur. AirAsia X does not have an own Business Lounge, but as I am a member of the Priority Pass Business Lounge club, we went to the Plaza Premium Wellness and Spa Lounge. This is a perfect product for people who don’t want to pay too much for a flight and just want a goodnight sleep.

Long-haul low-cost carrier AirAsia X is to add a tag flight on to Auckland Airport from one of its existing Gold Coast flights from its Kuala Lumpur hub. Malaysia Airlines will ground two Airbus A380 jetliners deployed on the daily Kuala Lumpur-Paris route in early June as part of the struggling flag carriers plan to consolidate its network.
Malaysia Airlines (Kuala Lumpur) as part of its reorganization, is dropping the Kuala Lumpur Frankfurt route on May 29 per Airline Route. Malaysia Airlines (Kuala Lumpur) is phasing out and retiring its Boeing 777-200 ER fleet as we have previously reported. Two pieces of plane debris discovered in Mozambique very likely belong to the doomed Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which went missing two years ago en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, the Australian government announced today (March 24). On 15 July, AirAsia commenced services to Utapao, the first services to the airport by the LCC. A new set of 20 missions for Microsoft Flight Simulator X to elevate your flight simulation experience to a whole new level of immersion with professional flight plans, timed step by step checklists and realistic procedures. If you travel with check in baggage you will be charged a fee at different rates depending on the weight and the airport from which you fly. The main cabin baggage shall not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm and does not weigh more than 7kg. It can be purchased online from creation of booking, anytime after confirmation or up to 4 hours before your flight. Each single item has to weigh less than 32kg and is subject to occupational health and safety requirements. The main cabin baggage shall not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm and does not weigh more than 7kg.
Whilst most bicycle bags comply with the standard dimensions, AirAsia will accept all single bicycle bags.
Please ensure that you do not pack items specified in this list in your cabin baggage or checked baggage. AirAsia reserves the right to confiscate any item deemed as a threat to the safety of AirAsia guests. However, baggage weight is transferable from one guest to another if they are travelling on the same itinerary and check-in together. The Baggage Supersize Fee is non-refundable if you decide to decrease your checked baggage weight. Therefore, you need to claim your baggage from your first sector flight and re-check them in for the subsequent flight.
Example Bali-Kuala Lumpur-Gatwick, Bali will be the 1st leg, Kuala Lumpur will be the transitting station and Gatwick will be the final destination.
In the event PDM is larger than AirAsia cabin baggage dimensions, it must be suitably packed and to be checked in as part of your baggage allowance. As a result, the information posted on this website is no longer relevant to the new Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) airport that is built to replace LCCT. The new flights begin in March and will mark nearly three years since the Malaysian carrier has served New Zealand. Singapore Airlines seems set to start Canberras first long-haul international services with a four times weekly service from its hub at Changi Airport, which will continue as a tag flight to the New Zealand capital Wellington.
According to Airline Route, the last revenue flight has now been tentatively scheduled for March 26, 2016 as flight MH 377 from Guangzhou to the Kuala Lumpur base. This baggage should also be able to fit under the seat in front of you or the overhead compartment.
Plan your trip and book appropriate baggage to avoid paying expensive cost of extra baggage. The sporting equipment fee can be either pre-booked at a discounted rate online or at a standard rate at the airport check-in counters. You will have to go through immigration check (if arriving from an international sector) and must check in again at the check-in counter to obtain your boarding pass. This only applies if you have purchased a "Fly-thru" otherwise what was stated in paragraph above applies.
Do be aware that you will be charged a flat rate for the first 15kg and a different rate for each additional kg at the airport. In this context, AirAsia will not be held responsible for the consequence of any delays experienced while flying AirAsia.
