Most parts and accessories are covered by a one year factory warranty against manufacturers defects.

Thule took these Force boxes out of production and redesigned them using the same front lid reinforcement bar and rivets engineering as the premium series Thule Sonic boxes – Solving the problem on this next generation of the 625 Force and Force XXL.
A: The Yakima BasketCase can be mounted so that the top of the cargo basket is flush with the top of the cross bars. You will need to be able to have the bar spread between the two bars to be in the 38” range for this to work. The all-new co-branded CURT Hitch and ORS Racks Direct Trailer Hitch Receivers Fit Lookup Guide delivers quick results of all available CURT trailer hitches for any specific vehicle years, makes and models. By installing a trailer hitch it is then possible to attach various gear and equipment carriers to the hitch receiver mount.
A: The problem with the Toyota Prius C is that the degree of the doorframe is at an angle that makes it almost parallel with the door when the Prius door is closed. A: You are right, the Yakima online fit guide shows a fit for 2007-2012 with Yakima RailGrab roof rack and 48” bars. GMC Acadia Factory Bars - Slimmer Bar with open track at the top - use Yakima Rail Grab and 58" Cross bars. ORS Racks Direct just announced the addition to their website an all-new Yakima Racks spare parts-replacement parts look-up and ordering tool for all Yakima parts. This is a really good explanatory video of how to assemble and install the Whispbar Through Bar roof rack system on vehicles with factory side rails (in this case it is the Whispbar S18 Through Bar SmartFoot & Crossbars components combined with the Whispbar K328 Fit Kit mounted to factory side rails for a 2008 Volvo XC70 roof rack system). Being able to choose longer crossbars is very nice for when you plan to mount several gear carriers or transport very wide gear loads etc. You could always run two Outdoorsman out of the bed, but this does tend to skew items to be carried toward the rear of the truck. An alternative is the Sportrack ABR527 which will need to be strapped through the doors of the vehicle but provides an easy on-off mounting system for the cab of your truck.  We do not stock this item but can easily obtain it for you. Wondering what Thule fit kits should be used when attaching a Thule 480 Traverse to a 2012 Acura CSX or 2012 Honda Civic 4 Door? If not, is there another adapter for this vehicle or do I have to remove the Utilitrack system in order to use my Truck rack?
Q: I’m trying to figure out a solution so I can carry a canoe on top of my 2011 Subaru Outback with factory rack, what can you suggest? Another option which we’ve no experience with, but seems to me to be a reasonable option is to use the existing crossbars to support the boat above the car, and then use a hitch mounted support like the Thule 997 Goalpost out of a hitch.  Of course, you’ll need a hitch. A: Unfortunately there is no top of car system (at least no easy snap on option) for your Nissan Frontier without the Nissan factory siderail. You could consider a  drill in system (like the Thule 430 System with TK 14 for sheet metal roofs) or if you would consider a bed mounted truck system like the Thule 422xt?
If you want the best of padding and support and the convenience of a mechanism that folds down (therefore you don’t have to remove them when you want better gas mileage) then check out the Thule 835Pro. The OEM receiver hitch on the Toyota Tundra is too large for most hitch bolts, due to excessive gussetting on the Toyota Tundra trailer hitch. Customer install photo of 2005 Nissan Xterra factory roof rack mount bike racks using the Yakima Highroller bike racks mounted to factory crossbars using Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts. Image above shows the Thule 450R Rapid Crossroad roof rack mounted to the 2010 Subaru Outback wagon factory rack side rails. You can use the factory crossbars or an aftermarket multi-purpose roof rack system from Thule Racks or Yakima Racks to transport all but the very longest of equipment (i.e. Testing the limits of the rack, we loaded and unloaded the kayaks on the Hullavators – and made sure to cycle the Hullavators with the boats on them multiple times. For the third and final phase of the test, we removed the kayaks, Hullavators, and Crossroads system and cycled the factory rack; making sure to switch the side rails to the crossbar position, lock them in place, and then return them to the side rail position and locking them in place. Our goal in re-testing this rack was to not only try and disprove some of the noise that has been going around the industry regarding this factory rack – but to also instill a level of comfort and confidence in this rack system. Finally, if you are transporting ultra long items such as canoes, the longest of kayaks etc., you have a couple additional options.
Hopefully all this information has been helpful for you in selecting the proper rack system for your 2010 Subaru Outback wagon and gear transport needs. Image A depicts grey screw on the Thule 480 Traverse Foot in the fully tightened position and clip positioned at highest point (the Fit Kit attaches to the clip).
Thule, Yakima, Rhino Rack and Rola roof racks are built for an exact fit on your GMC Acadia. We offer custom fit roof racks from Thule, Yakima, Rhino Rack, Rola, Inno and Whispbar that will be a perfect fit for your vehicle. GMC Acadia Roof Rack VideosInno Roof Rack Review - 2016 GMC AcadiaToday on our 2016 GMC Acadia we're going to take a look at the INNO Square Crossbar Rough Racks. The single bike carrier I recommend is the SportRack Upshift Roof Bike Rack, part # SR4883.
A better option you have would be to get a Yakima roof rack instead of the factory rack and an adapter. First, if you are able to move the crossbars on the vehicle, move the front crossbar as far forward as you can. Compare your measurement to the front clearance requirements listed in the chart I have linked. The photo I have attached for you gives the minimum and maximum spacing, as well as the clearance for opening your rear hatch. A better option for you would be to add crossbars to your factory side rails and use a roof basket and a cargo bag or a roof mounted cargo box.
First, if the crossbars on your Acadia can me moved, move the front bar as far forward as it will go. If that measurement is 52 inches or greater then the Skybox Pro 16s, # Y07196, or Skybox Pro 16, # Y07335, will fit.
For a compatible Thule cargo box I recommend the Thule Pulse L Rooftop Cargo Box # TH615, which you referenced. The Yakima towers will clip to your factory side rails and the crossbars will attach to the towers. Both Thule and Yakima have direct fit cargo boxes for the factory cross bars on the 2009 GMC Acadia.
You will need to slide your front crossbar as far forward as possible (if it's adjustable), and then you will need to measure from the center of the bar to the seam of the rear hatch. If you went with the Yakima Railgrab roof rack part numbers # Y00408 and # Y00138 you could then install the Rhino Rack kayak carrier part # S512 which is designed to fit round bars like this. We carry MDX, RDX, and TSX We guarantee the lowest online prices for Acura roof Racks, cross bars, and side rails, which are among the most frequently ordered Acura accessories offered by BernardiParts..
Malone carriers will mount around these but due to the profile of the  crossbar the carriers will lean towards the front of the vehicle.
This is caused by the lack of reinforcement in the box lid to withstand the tremendous wind forces produced during travel. Popular carriers include hitch bike racks, hitch mount gear baskets and cargo-luggage boxes. This adapter kit makes it possible for the Thule 897XT Hullavator kayak rack to work with the Thule ARB Aeroblade which has a T-slot channels running their length. Using a a few pieces of wood, a strap, and good old fashioined ingenuity, these folks designed an inexpensive and effective way to carry a tandem bicycle in the bed of a truck. Using the Thule Ski Rack Flush Mount Adapter Kit the conversion procedure is a quick process that simply removes the Thule SpeedLink Clamp Mounts using a wrench on the 92726, 92725 and 92724 ski-snowboard rack models. With the inclusion of this comprehensive application, customers now have multiple ways to navigate, search and purchase the specific Yakima spare parts needed for any particular Yakima product.
The true value of this demonstration movie is how selecting the Through Bar system, instead of the Whispbar Rail Bar system, you gain the flexibility of choosing longer cross bars — very handy for gear and equipment transport configurations that require attaching many gear carriers, hauling very wide gear loads etc.
With the Whispbar Racks Through Bar and HD Bar systems you have the option to select longer crossbars than what are the default recommendation (usually the shortest allowable length).
Once these steps are finished the user is immediately presented with the complete list of TracRac truck rack, utility rack and van rack oprions that are compatible with the specific vehicle selected.

If you purchase Inno’s IN-SU Complete Roof Rack system and the Inno IN-JK short roof adapter kit which will increase the distance between the front and rear cross bars you will be able to carry long items such as kayaks using kayak carriers from Inno, Yakima or Thule. The answer is to use the extra long Yakima 8890176 Hitch Bolt mounting hardware to properly mount your hitch bike rack.
There is much confusion regarding what is and isn’t compatible with the new 2010 Subaru Outback roof rack. We did this numerous times – in the end, the rack still functioned as it was designed to. Your first option is to use the Thule 997 GoalPost on a rear 2 inch trailer hitch (you may alrady have on your 2010 Subaru Outback wagon, and they are also easy to install). However, if you have any additional questions whatsoever do not hesitate to contact us at ORS Racks Direct. Specifically, the Thule 1210 Fit Kit clip is not long enough to reach from the Thule 480 Traverse Foot to the correct position on the Saab 9-2x door well.
If you find that the Fit Kit does not reach down far enough to be positioned correctly on your doorwell, simply fully loosen the grey screw and the clip will lower to its lowest position as depicted in image B. Easy installation and custom fit designs ensure these racks will allowy you to carry a bike rack, cargo basket, cargo box, ski rack or watersport carrier to your GMC Acadia.
This will give you a set of cross bars that will mount onto your current roof rails that run from front to back.
To determine if the box will interfere with opening the rear hatch all the way there is a measurement you can take.
Then measure from the center of the front bar straight back to the seam between the top of he hatch and the roof. First, if the crossbars can be moved on the roof, move the front bar as far forward as it will go. If your roof rack is compatible with those dimensions this box should work very well for you. The Pulse XL has a low profile and an aerodynamic shape that helps to reduce drag and wind noise when the box is mounted on your roof rack. This will give you the crossbars that run from side to side and are needed to install the MegaWarrior cargo basket. The reason is because during starts and stops, the bag can move forward and backwards and it can damage the roof of the vehicle. If the cross bars are adjustable and you can move them forward and backward, you should have no problem getting the cargo bag to fit. If you prefer the economical square roof crossbars, you can use part # TH45050, which would provide the crossbars, the feet to attach them to the roof rails and locks.
All returned items must have the original packaging and any hardware or installation instructions. Also offered are accessories such as hitch extenders and hitch adapters, hitch ball mounts and couplers etc. Then insert the included T-bolts into the two holes on the underside of each cradle arm and loosely tighten an included wing knob to the end of the T-bolt.
With a complete catalog of all Yakima replacement parts for both current products as well as discontinued models, this combines the largest inventory with the most convenient method of obtaining Yakima parts needed for any Yakima Racks product. The process for determining what crossbar length options you have available for your specific automobile is easy. Sold separately as a Yakima Racks replacement part – spare part so you can use it with your hitch bike rack to properly install it on the Toyota Tundra OEM trailer hitch.
While it looks and performs differently than many other factory rack systems, the 2010 Subaru Outback roof rack still offers excellent configuring flexibility for all your transport needs.
However, for 2010 Subaru Outback roof mount bike racks, ski-snowboard racks, cargo roof boxes, surfboard racks, stand up paddle board racks, most kayak racks, roof baskets, luggage roof bags etc. You will use the Thule 997 GoalPost in combination with a Thule Crossroad roof rack mounted to the side rails. You can then attach the Fit Kit to the clip in this lowest position, allowing the Fit Kit to be properly positioned on the doorwell. These racks will allow you to add a bike rack, cargo basket, cargo box, ski rack or watersport carrier to your GMC Acadia.
We also offer a full line of roof rack accessories, including roof bike racks, roof cargo baskets, roof cargo boxes, kayak and canoe carriers, roof bags, ski racks and snowboard racks. So no matter what roof configuration you have on your 2014 GMC Acadia you can use this cargo bag. Then measure from the center of the front bar back to the nearest potential obstruction, in this case the antenna. This measurement is the distance from the center of your front crossbar to the center of your rear crossbar.
You should also consult your owners manual to determine the weight capacity of the roof rack on your Acadia. If you need longer crossbars that extend further to the sides then the other system, consisting of parts # THARB47 and # TH450R will work also.
I have linked you to an installation video showing this rack system being installed on a 2012 Acadia.
The wagon models have the roof rail that unlocks and then pivots into the cross bar position. Popular tow trailers include pop-up campers and tent trailers, motorsport trailers, kayak trailers and canoe trailers.
The main difference is that the rail bars that require  58” cross bars  is a slimmer bar with an open track on the top. Then just slide each cradle arm onto the T-slot channel of each cross bar and then tighten down fully.
This could present problems if there isn’t enough space on the crossbars for all the roof mount gear carriers you want to attach or when transporting a couple wide kayaks, canoe and so forth. Just open up the Whispbar Fit Kit installation instructions that you need for your specific auto, and refer to the installation measurements chart.
And if you are considering purchasing a 2010 Subaru Outback, rest assured you will be able to transport all kinds of gear. Not trying to go the soft rack route so I gotta fork a little extra more, but I’m hoping not that much more? If you need to do some roof rack repairs, we also carry replacement parts for all the roof and cargo racks. I'm going to show you how we install the second one, pretty easy, around our factory rails.
First, if the crossbars that run side to side on the roof can be moved, move the front bar as far forward as it will go. The cross bars keep the bag from sliding forward and back on the vehicle roof during acceleration and braking and protect the vehicle roof from damage by keeping the bag stationary when installed.
Square profile crossbars can be a bit noisy, using a fairing like part # TH871XT would reduce the wind noise.
Additionally, all CURT trailer hitch products ordered ship out from the nearest CURT distribution center to the shipping destination, guaranteeing that virtually all orders arrive within 1-3 days of purchase. And you need to consider the length of your cross bars to determine how many bikes would fit up there. Then measure from the center of that front bar straight back to the nearest potential obstruction. Make sure to clean the roof before installing the bag to keep dirt, between the bag and roof, to a minimum so the roof does not get scratched. Our cross bars however don’t, but with this system folks wouldn’t need an after market cross bar anyway. For the older model ski carriers such as the 91726, 91725, 91724, instead of using a wrench you use a drill to simply drill out the rivets that are holding the upper clamp arms onto the underside of each ski carrier cradle arm.
Then refer to the Whispbar Racks Though Bar & HD Bar Chart that specifies the crossbar dimension ranges for each specific Through Bar and HD Bar models.
For this option the best system is any of the Thule Crossroad roof rack models (Thule 450 Crossroad, Thule 450R Rapid Crossroad, Thule 45050 Crossroad Kit, Thule 45058 Kit) as they offer 24 inches of distance between the front and rear crossbar, while the Yakima RailGrab roof rack system offers slightly less at 21 inches. This is a superb alternative to roof mount gear carriers because the convenient low level of the trailer makes it easy to load and unload gear. Usually 3 is the limit but you may be able to fit a fourth if you alternate the directions the bikes are facing.

However, they are different because they have a strap system that fits around a bar so they will only fit raised side rails.
Then you follow the same process of inserting the T-bolts into the holes you drilled to remove the rivets.
The 24 inch crossbar spread, when using the Thule Crossroad roof racks on the 2010 Subaru Outback side rails, has been tested rigorously by Thule Racks and is determined to be thoroughly safe for gear transport, even when using two 897XT Hullavator carriers mounted to the Thule Crossroad base rack cross bars to transport 2 kayaks! You will have to make sure that your crossbars can reach all the way across the roof if you do have raised side rails. You will see that you can most often select a model that has longer crossbars than the model that was the default recommendation in the Yakima-Whispbar Online Fit Guide tool. The traditional round bar design is compatible with most accessories, adapters are NOT typically needed for most accessories.
Locks are not included, but it takes SKS lock cores so you can use the same key for all of your Yakima gear.
The RailGrab towers include 3 different size claws so if you switch cars it is more likely you can use the same rack. We are going to show you how we connect those straps and then also how we put the crossbar onto our roof rack, our raised rail system.First thing we are going to do it take off this end cap here, it just pops right out.
We are going to do number 3 today.Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2016 GMC AcadiaToday on our 2016 GMC Arcadia, we are test fitting the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars.
The crossbars are secured to the feet from inside the crossbar and the crossbars have locking endcaps. This roof rack kit is going to include the crossbar and the foot pack together, and the part number for that is Y00140. For right now, with our towers already pre-assembled, I can go ahead and show you how to slide on our bars. It clamps around the raised rails of your car with a steel strap that has a thick rubber coating. So for right now, I'll go ahead and begin by showing how to put the foot pack on the load bar. With AeroBlade crossbars, adapters may be needed for some accessories, some accessories are not compatible, so be sure to check our rack and accessory guide. Once you get that on, you'll go ahead and replace your end cap and with our front load bar already installed on our vehicle we can go ahead and place our rear load bar on our factory rails. While locks cost extra the Thule one key system allows for having the same key for the racks and all accessories.
Real quick, you just want to make sure that your straps are undone, that way you can slide underneath your rails, just like that. To begin our test fit, I'll go ahead and show you how to put our leg kit on our load bar. What you want to do is you want to go ahead and remove your end cap and you'll want to line up the top of your leg kit here to insert to our load bar.
We're going to position the front bar as close to the black drop down portion of the side rail as possible.
We'll bring the rubber coated steel straps around the other side of our rear side rails pop off the in-caps and hook the straps into the connection points. We'll make sure our foot is as close to this point on both the passenger and driver side of the vehicle to ensure the front bar will be perpendicular to the roof.
We're going to set the front load bar as close to the black plastic connection points of our raised side rails. With the front bar in position we can pop off the end caps to bring the rubber coated steal straps from the underside of the rail and hook them into the connection points. We can then use the included tool to tighten down the black bolt to tighten down the straps.
With our Rhino-Rack bars already installed on our vehicle, we can go ahead and set this on top.
With our Rhino-Rack Roof System already installed on our vehicle we can go ahead and set this on our load bars.
Once we get that lined up, we can go ahead and take our clamp, we'll go ahead and run this underneath. With our Rhino Rack bars already installed on our vehicle we can go ahead and set this on top.
Now, with our Thule Aeroblades already installed on our vehicle, we can go ahead and set our bike rack on top.
We want to make sure that our straps are undone, that way we can go underneath our load bars.Thule Sprint Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 GMC AcadiaToday on our 2015 GMC Acadia.
With our Thule AeroBlades already installed on our vehicle we can go ahead and set this on our load bars. You'll want to make sure that both straps are undone as you can see that they are, so we can feed it underneath. With our Thule Aeroblades already in place on our vehicle, we can go ahead and place this on our load bars. This will allow us to position the rubber-coated black bracket around the underside of the rear bar. This cargo tray is 47 inches long by 35 inches wide, and the part number for that is RPBS-U.
The cargo basket has the dimensions of 49 by 40 by 6 and it has a capacity to hold up to 150 pounds. Now, as you can see, we do have three of our plates already down, those are already secure.
We're going to show you how we do this back drivers-side one, because they all go in the same way when they secure down.
It's a steel cargo basket with the dimensions of 43 inches long and 35 inches wide, and it has the capacity to hold up to 125 pounds. The part number for that is PS63156.Now, as you can see, we do already have three of our four feet down.
It offers 11 cubic feet of space, and with our Yakima roof rack already installed on our vehicle we can go ahead and put our box on top. It offers 14 cubic feet of space and with our Yakima roof rack system already installed on our vehicle, we can go ahead and set our box on top. We want to make sure our clamps are opened up and we'll go ahead and slide it the rest of the way on. With our Thule AeroBlade Load Bars already installed, we can go ahead and set our box on top.
We'll make sure our box is slid all the way forward, as much as it can go to ensure we have enough clearance for our rear hatch to open. With our Thule Aero Blades already installed on our vehicle, we can go ahead and put our box on top of our load bars.
Inside we have our four knobs which tighten down to the load bars.Thule Pulse Large Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 GMC AcadiaToday, on our 2015 GMC Acadia, we will be testing the Thule Pulse XL rooftop cargo box.
It has a nice matte black finish so with our Thule arrow blades already installed on our vehicle, we can go ahead and put our box on our load bars.We want to make sure that both of our clamps are open. Once we get that centered up where our feet our going to come through, we'll go ahead and hop up top. With our Thule Aeroblades already installed on our vehicle, we can set our box on top of our load bars. Once we get that on top of our vehicle we can go ahead and open it up.Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 GMC AcadiaToday on our 2012 GMC Acadia, we'll be test-fitting the Toolie Force Medium rooftop cargo box with 13 cubic feet of space, aeroskin black and color, Part Number TH624.
This double-sided lid also enables you to load and unload your cargo from either side of the car. After moving to the other side of the vehicle, we'll repeat the same process. We'll then move to the rear, and as you can see the rear hatch does not come in contact with the back of the box.
After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars we can unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs.
Now this double-sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the car.
