<p>The likelihood of a rhino being at a site is described by a probability that does not change over time.  When it says that the probability of the rhino being at a site is .9, that means that 90% of the times that you visit that site, a rhino will be there.  The higher the probability, the more likely you are to find a rhino at that site.</p>

<p>If there are 5 sites, we describe the rhino probability using 5 numbers, such as (0.8, 0.3, 0.1, 0.7, 0.4). That means that 80% of the time you visit site 1, there will be a rhino there; 30% of the time you visit site 2, there will be a rhino there; 10% of the time you visit site 3, there will be a rhino there; 70% of the time you visit site 4, there will be a rhino there; 40% of the time you visit site 5, there will be a rhino there.</p>
