You are now invited to participate in the main part of a research study jointly run by the Department of Economics at Stanford University and Microsoft Research on intelligence and decision-making. Read and follow the instructions carefully; they contain everything you need to know.

This experiment consists of two parts. In each part, you can earn additional money for yourself, depending on the decision that you will make. At the end of the experiment, we will flip a coin and randomly choose one of the two parts to determine your additional payment for completing this study.

You will only receive your payment if you complete the full experiment. After you finish the experiment, your total payment (consisting of your base payment and additional payment) will be transferred to your mTurk account. The average total payment will be around {{ average_payment }}.

We guarantee, on behalf of the Department of Economics at Stanford University and Microsoft Research, that if we say that there is a x chance in 100 that something will happen, this event will occur on average x in 100 times. We cannot lie to you, or else we would violate the IRB protocol under which this study runs (IRBXXXX). In general, deception and lies are not permitted in economics studies.
