Please raise your hand if you find it difficult to understand the experiment. It is important for all participants to fully understand the decisions that they are making. Feel free to ask any questions.

The decisions you will make rely only on your individual decision. Therefore please: <br>
- Do not speak to another participant.If you have a question, please ask the experimenter. <br>
-Turn off your mobile /smartphone. <br>

Today’s experiment is part of an ongoing project. Therefore, it is very problematic if other people know the information of the today’s contents. After the experiment is over, leave the experimental materials on the desk. Do not explain what you do in this experiment to other people.

You will be partnered with different participants within this experiment. You, and the other participants, will never know who your partner is.
<br>
<br>
The monetary reward consists of two parts. The first part is the participation fee (an edible reward). This is paid to all participants regardless of performance in the experiment. The second part is the performance payment. This depends on you and your partner’s performances. After the experiment is over, you receive the sum of both parts. The performance payment ranges from £0 to £5.00.

The next page will give you more specific instructions about the games that you will play today. After reading the instructions and asking any questions you will start the experiment. The first part will consist of 3 short questions. Your answers to these questions will not impact your performance payment, so please answer these questions honestly.
<br>
<br>
After these questions you will then play 1 rounds of the decision game, the instructions for which are on the next page. There will then be a 15 minute break where the experimenter will instruct you in an activity. You will then return and play another decision game before answering another 3 short questions, which again will not impact your performance payment. You will then fill in a demographic survey to finish.

At the end of the experiment one of the decision games will be randomly selected and the experimenter will pay the relevant performance payment to each player.
