<p>
In this study, you will be randomly and anonymously paired with another participant. Each of you simultaneously and privately chooses whether you want to cooperate or defect. Your payoffs will be determined by the choices of both as below:
</p>
<p>
If you cooperate and your partner cooperates you both gain <strong>4 points</strong>
</p>
<p>
If you cooperate and your partner defects you lose <strong>2 points</strong> and your partner gains <strong>8 points</strong>
</p>
<p>
If you defect and your partner cooperates you gain <strong>8 points</strong> and your partner loses <strong>2 points</strong>
</p>
<p>
If you defect and your partner defects <strong>0 points</strong> are earned
</p>
<p><strong>
1 point is equal to 1 cent.

<p><strong>
You will begin the game with a 10 point endowment.

NOTE: It may take a few minutes for a partner to join the HIT, please wait 10 minutes for a partner to join. If no one joins within 10 minutes enter your worker ID as the completion code and you will be compensated the base pay of $1 for your time. If you do not wait the assignment will be rejected.
