Amber Heard and the court were shown pictures of her at public events where Johnny Depp's team claimed there were no signs of physical injury

Johnny Depp's lawyers show court snaps of Amber Heard day after he 'attacked her'

Johnny Depp 's lawyers showed the court pictures of Amber Heard looking fresh-faced during a public appearance the day after her ex-husband allegedly injured her lip and face.

The Aquaman actress had an interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden in December 2015 and Depp's team claimed photos showed there were no visible marks, cuts, bruises or swelling on her face.

The court was shown a clip of her on the show.

She previously testified that she thought she was going to die when Depp allegedly headbutted her and tried to suffocate her with a pillow.

According to the actress, the alleged acts of violence happened the night before her public appearances.

She claimed she had two black eyes, what she thought was a broken nose and a busted lip from the Pirates of the Caribbean actor allegedly hitting her.

In her testimony earlier this month, Heard had told the court that her bloodied lip was hidden by her make-up team with 'super heavy, red matte lipstick'.

'I got worried that I wouldn't be able to hide the bruising and swelling. I iced it all night and the next day checked in the mirror to see if I could get away with it, meaning hiding it, so I could make an appearance,' she claimed.

'I gambled and thought maybe I could pull it off, I had my hair and makeup team come. They worked around it, meaning worked around the lesions on my head with the hair spray because that stings. They worked around the bruising by covering it with heavy makeup, heavier makeup than normal bruise covering makeup.'

She went on to claim in her testimony that they 'had no choice in [lipstick] colour' due to her bloodied lip.

When Heard was being cross-examined this week, Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez questioned her on alleged moments Heard claimed he harmed her.

Vasquez also showed pictures of the night after the 2014 Met Gala when the actress claimed Depp beat her up and left her with a broken nose.

Depp's team claim photographs show 'her with no signs of injury.'

Heard told the court: 'For the record, I don’t know that it was broken. You should have seen how it looked under makeup.'

'Your nose doesn’t appear to be injured in any of these pictures?' Vasquez asked.

Heard responded: 'I’m wearing makeup and makeup covers up swelling, right?'

After being shown another picture showing no visible signs of injury, Heard claimed that Depp 'did whack me in the face and I did think it broke my nose'.

Depp's attorney also asked about the time in Russia in June 2013 when Heard claimed Depp hit her in the face.

He was promoting The Lone Ranger at the time and the court was shown a picture of the duo at an event for the move. Vasquez questioned her if she could see any injuries.

Heard said she could not.

A picture of Heard at the Tokyo premiere of Depp's 2015 movie, Mortdecai, was also shown. She admitted that the pictures showed no visible marks despite previous claims of violence. Get in touch with us at webcelebs@mirror.co.uk or call us direct at 0207 29 33033.
