J ohnny Depp and wife Amber Heard brought a touch of A-list glamour to the BFI London Film Festival.

The acting couple walked the red carpet at the gala screening of Black Mass at the Odeon Leicester Square on Sunday evening.

Depp, 52, who stars as James ‘Whitey’ Bulger in the Scott Cooper directed biopic of the gangster’s life, stuck close to his 29-year-old other half as they posed for pictures.

The pair were joined by Depp’s co-star Benedict Cumberbatch, who arrived with wife Sophie Hunter.

Cumberbatch, who plays Bulger’s politician brother in the film, took time to sign autographs and meet the crowd at the premiere.

Sienna Miller was unsurprisingly absent for the gala screening after her scenes were cut from the film last month.

After shooting a number of scenes as Bulger’s girlfriend Catherine Greig, the British star saw her role completely removed from the final cut.

Director Cooper explained to the Boston Globe that 'it came down to narrative choices.”

This year’s London Film Festival opened last week with the premiere of Sarah Gavron’s Suffragette.

The film’s stars including Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep walked the red carpet at The Lanesborough Hotel.
