Amber Heard was seen recoiling as she almost came face to face with her ex-husband Johnny Depp after making her emotional testimony.

After making a few bombshell claims in court yesterday, the Aquaman actress was walking off the stand at the Virginia courthouse.

While she was making her way off, Depp was moving closer towards Heard, 36, who seemingly jumped back.

Heard moved back a few steps and looked distraught while court officials turned to the Pirates of the Caribbean actor to put their hands up to stop him from making any more steps forward.

Depp immediately turned to walk away and appeared to have shrugged.

While he was facing another direction and making his way out the rear door, a court official led Heard to the other side of the room.

During the entire trial, the former couple have mostly avoided any eye contact.

On her first day of questioning, the actress brought a number of explosive claims to the box during the $50 million trial where Depp, 58, is suing his ex-wife for alleged defamation.

It relates to an article for The Washington Post in 2018 in which Heard said she was a victim of domestic abuse. The actor denies the allegations but he has been countersued by the Aquaman star for $100 million.

At one point, Heard broke down in tears as she claimed that Depp sexually assaulted her with a bottle.

She had recalled a night of alleged rage and violence at a house Depp had rented in Australia while he was filming Pirates of the Caribbean 5, which resulted in Heard saying: 'I have never been so scared in my life.'

Depp, who has been claimed to have told Heard that 'he would carve up my face', screamed repeatedly that he hated her, smashing a phone and tearing off her nightgown before the alleged sexual assault took place on a countertop.

Describing the incident, where she had to pause to hold back the tears, she told the court: 'I remember looking at all of the broken bottles, broken glass. I remember not wanting to move because I didn't know if it was broken, I didn't know if the bottle he had inside of me was broken. I didn't feel pain, I didn't feel anything.'

Heard later said: 'Johnny had the bottle inside of me and was shoving it inside of me over and over again.'

Depp denies ever sexually or physically assaulting Heard.
