    <u>What will I have to do?</u>
</h4>
<p>
    There are four parts in the experiment, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4.
    You will be given detailed instructions for each part.
</p>
<br>


<h4 class="thick">
    <u>How much payment will I receive for my participation?</u>
</h4>
<p>
   You will receive &pound3 for completing the experiment. There are chances to earn bonus payments from all four parts of the experiment.
</p>
<p>
   You will also keep your earnings from Part 3 as part of your bonus payment.
</p>
<p>
    You may receive <b>additional bonus payments</b> depending on your decisions in either Part 1, Part 2, or Part 4.
    At the end of the study, the computer program will randomly pick <b>either Part 1, Part 2, or Part 4</b> to add to your bonus payment.
    Since nobody knows which part will be selected, you should pay close attention to all parts of the experiment.
</p>
<p>
    All bonus payments wills be denoted in <b>Experimental Currency Units (ECU)</b>.
    For this study, the conversion rate is <b>100 ECU= &pound1</b>.
</p>
<p>
    <b>Total payment = Participation fee + Part 3 earning + Earning from either Part 1, Part 2, or Part 4</b>
</p>

<h4 class="thick">
    <u>How will my payment be made?</u>
</h4>
<p>
    Once all the participants have completed this study, we will determine your bonus payments based on the decisions made in the tasks and convert the ECU you have earned to GBP.
    The bonus payment will be made via the Prolific platform within a maximum of 21 days from the conclusion of the study.
</p>

    There will be several <b>Attention Check</b> questions throughout this study meant to test whether you are paying attention.
    <b>If you fail to correctly complete one or more of these Attention Check questions, you may not be paid.</b>

    This study <b>does not employ deception</b>.
    This is in accordance with the researchers' institutions' ethics guidelines.
</p>
