Please carefully read the instructions below explaining the task performed by the Green players in each round.
In each round, the Green player gets 45 seconds to perform as many additions as possible out of four.
Each addition consisted of four three-digit numbers. One example is below:
216

357

593

The total number of questions that the Green player answers correctly (out of the four) will determine the wheel of fortune
that gets assigned to the Yellow player. The wheel of fortune has only three colours: red, purple and blue.
Each colour corresponds to different earnings for the Yellow player. In particular, red corresponds to $0,
purple to $1 and blue to $2.
Once the wheel of fortune gets assigned to Yellow player, it is spinned by the researcher. The colour
where the wheel stops determines the earning of the Yellow player.
The higher the number of correct questions solved by the Green player, the greater the chance that
the wheel will land on colours corresponding to higher amount than low amount colours. An example is given below.
As can be seen above, the number of questions solved determines the portion of the wheel divided into the three
colours. In particular, the higher the number of correct questions increases the portion of the wheel that is coloured purple and blue.
Remember that the Green player had 45 seconds to solve a set of four additions in each round.
Yellow players will be shown only the earnings drawn from the wheel of fortune (that is, $0, $1 or $2)for each round and then be asked to pay
the Green player out of separate pot of $2. We will then ask some questions related to it for each of the 12 rounds.
