In the following experiment you will make a series of decisions that will have consequences for your earnings as well as the earnings of other participants that take part in this experiment. Across multiple rounds, you will exchange Monetary Units (short: MU) between you and another person. Each MU is worth 0.01 £ cents (60 MU = £0.60/$0.78).
In each round, you will be matched with another person whom we will refer to as Participant A.
Each round goes as follows:
In each round, the person we refer to as Participant A might be a different person. Hence, you will not necessarily be matched with the same participant on each trial, however the decisions that you make on every trial will affect another participant.
To assess consistency, you will be asked to complete two blocks for this task. In each block you will be asked how much you would like to return for every transfer amount between 1 and 20 MU.
You will be paid out by the selection of a randomly chosen decision that you have made that will be matched up with the offer made by another individual. Therefore, all of your decisions equally effect your payout as well as the payout of someone else.
