      This experiment examined the <strong>social dynamics</strong> that can hinder the adoption of sustainable forestry practices — such as Continuous Cover Forestry — in a controlled and simplified decision environment. In particular, we studied how individual decisions are influenced by expectations about others' choices.

      We also investigated the effect of <strong>communication messages</strong> that emphasise moral responsibility — such as treating others as one would like to be treated — on these interactions. The aim was to understand whether such messages can encourage more sustainable choices.

      Finally, the study explored how these dynamics and communication strategies may influence <strong>voting behaviour and policy preferences</strong> related to forest management.
