You are invited to participate in a short online research study through a survey about news consumption and social media administered by researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.).
Thank you for your time. To thank you for participating in this survey, we will provide you with precise information about the slant of the news at which you are regularly exposed on Twitter, which might affect the information that you share with others, and ultimately how you are perceived by them. We will also explain how you could change your slant either to reach a more balanced diet or to have a larger exposure to non-neutral views. Upon completion of the survey, you will participate in a lottery for two hundred dollars ($200). You may also be offered more rewards for an additional task. The survey is divided in three sections and it should not take more than 5 minutes of your time.
It is very important for the success of the research that you answer honestly and read the questions carefully before answering.
