In this game you are assigned the role of a Firm. You will be paired with another player who is assigned the role of an environmental regulation agency (The Agency). In each round, you will start with 60 points.

You have two options:

  1. COMPLY with the environmental regulations
    2. or
  2. NOT COMPLY with the environmental regulations.

The agency can decide between two options: to INSPECT or NOT INSPECT you.

For your information, the Agency also starts with {{Budget|c}}, and the cost of inspection is {{expert|c}} for them. If you choose NOT COMPLY, the Agency will loose {{environment|c}} due to environmental damage.

The player you will be paired in each round will change randomly. You will NOT be playing against the same Firm player. Again, you will not be able to see the other player's choice before you submit your decision. The Firm will not be able to see your decision before submitting his/her decision.

You can choose to INSPECT the Firm. The inspection will cost you {{expert|c}}. If you decide to INSPECT and the Firm is NOT COMPLYING, you will collect {{fine|c}} from the Firm. Then your payoff will be 60-50+50-40=20.

For your information, the Firm also starts with {{Revenue|c}}, and the cost of compliance paid by the Firm is {{cost|c}} (paid by the Firm).
