In the following 4 questions, you will be asked to make a number of decisions that ask you to choose between different payments at different point in times. At the end of this study, one of the questions will be selected randomly, and your answers to those questions will determine how many points you earn.

For example, suppose your earnings were determined, in part, by a question that asked you to decide between

A payment of 1000 points in 30 days ({{ player.pat_date_0 }})
A payment of 3000 points in 60 days ({{ player.pat_date_1 }})

And you choose

The payment of 1000 points in 30 days ({{ player.pat_date_0 }}), then we will pay you the 1'000 points in USD in 30 days on ({{ player.pat_date_0 }}) on your m-turk account
The payment of 3000 points in 30 days ({{ player.pat_date_1 }}), then we will pay you the 3'000 points in USD in 30 days on ({{ player.pat_date_0 }}) on your m-turk account

Each of the following 4 question has many similar choices, as the one described above. All the choices in one questions are orderd in rows. In the first row one option will obviously be always better then the other, e.g. 0 vs 10 points. The options on side will be always the same, while those on the other change getting either better and worse. Thus, we recommend answering each question as follows:

Start by looking at the top row, and think carefully about each row in turn.
For each row where you prefer the option on the one side over the option on the other check the box on your favored side.
When you find the first question where you prefer the option on the other side over the option on the initially favored one, check the box on there.
Notice that the option on the new facored side is always better as you go down the list. This means that after you switched once the side, you should choose the option on this side for all rows below. Your answers should therefore “cross over” only once.
Once you have filled in the “cross over” point the Autofill button will fill in the rest of the chart faster. Alternatively, you may check every box manually.
All rows must have a box checked for you to continue to the next page.

If a question is picked for payment, one row will be selected, and you will be paid according to the choice you made in that row. It is important that your answers in each row are accurate so you will get the payment you want. Thus, the points you earn will depend on both your choices and luck which row is determined for your payoff.

If you read all instructions for each option carefully and make good decisions you can earn a substantial bonus at the end of the study.
