Information - Beef production
{% endblock %}
{% block content %}
You will now be offered three information items regarding beef. These information items are about:
The way cows are treated for beef production
The impact of beef production on the environment
The effect of consuming beef on health
You will have to choose the minimum acceptable payoff to receive each of these three items.
You will use the scale you have learned to use previously.
The information can be text or media (images and/or videos) or both and will be displayed on your screen.
If an offer is refused, you do not get the item and do not get the payoff.
If an offer is accepted, you get the item and the payoff selected by the computer.
An offer to the left of (smaller than) the minimum acceptable payoff you select will be refused.
An offer to the right of (larger than) the minimum acceptable payoff you select will be accepted.
The more negative payoff you select, the more you want (are ready to pay) to get an item.
The more positive payoff you select, the more you do not want (must be paid) to get an item.
With your choices, you can not influence the payoff that the computer selects.
By selecting your minimum acceptable payoff, you only select an acceptable range of payoffs.
The computer selects the actual offered payoff at random.
If you select -75, at the extreme left, you are sure to accept the offer and get the information (with a negative or positive payoff that will be determined by the computer).
If you select +75, at the extreme right, you are sure to refuse the offer, to not get the information and to not get the selected payoff.
{% formfields %}
For time reasons, only one of these 3 information decisions will be implemented.
The computer will choose one of the three items at random, generate an offer and compare it to your choice.
The other two will not be implemented (neither information item, nor payoff).
If the offer from the computer is refused, you will be redirected to an equally long, but unrelated information.
You cannot save time by trying to refuse offers.
