{% endblock %}
{% block content %}
In each period, on the experimental screen, you can observe four pieces of information and a field to enter your consumption decision. The four pieces of information consist of your income, the interest rate, utility from the previous period, and overall utility.
• Your income is the sum of wage income in the current period and interest earned saving or borrowing from the previous period.
• The interest rate shows the interest rate at which you save or borrow and which is the same over time. In other words, there will be no variation in the interest rate throughout the experiment.
• Utility from the previous period shows the utility that you derive from the consumption in the previous period. For instance, in period 13, it shows the utility derive from the consumption in period 12.
• The overall utility is the sum of discounted utilities in the previous periods. For instance, if you are in the 26th period, then it shows the sum of discounted utilities from period 1 to 25.
Final Remarks:
• Your total earnings in the experiment will be transferred to you within about 1 week and no later than August 26.
• Use of a calculator or a simple computing software(such as Excel) is encouraged.
