Instructions

In this experiment, you will be guessing whether a bag contains 6 red marbles and 3 blue marbles or the opposite. The bag is equally likely to be each. Before you guess, you will be shown some draws from the bag. You might also be given the chance to interact with another participant to find out what they think the bag contains.

You will be asked how likely you think it is that the draws you are shown come from a bag with more red marbles. In addition to the bag with red and blue marbles, there is a box with 100 nickels and pennies. You will get 10 tokens either if the the bag has more red marbles or if a nickel is drawn from the box. You will be asked what is the least number of nickels there must be in the box such that you want to be reimbursed based on the draw from the box rather than based on the bag's contents

For example, if you say that there must be 42 nickels and there are actually 35 nickels in the box, then you will get 10 tokens if the bag has more red marbles. If there are actually 67 nickels in the box, then you will get 10 tokens if a nickel is drawn from the box.
