The basic rules are exactly as described earlier.
In this part, there will be no early warning system.
Here is a reminder of the basic rules: (click to expand)Your task is to decide how many tokens to claim from a pot. You can claim between 0 and 100 tokens, but there is a problem: you do not know how many tokens are in the pot. The number of tokens is randomly determined by a computer - any number between 0 and 100 is equally likely. In each part, there are 2 rounds. If your first-round claim is not successful ✖ (you claim more tokens than there are in the pot) …
If your claim in the second round is not successful ✖ … If your claim in the second round is successful ✔ … The unknown number of tokens does not change during one part. It is the same in rounds 1 and 2. Each token you earn is worth real money. Your earnings in each part are the sum of successful claims. One part is randomly selected for payout. |
On the following pages, you can try out the task without any payout consequences. Each tutorial consists of two rounds, just like the real decision task. You must play at least three tutorials, before you may play the payout-relevant part. You can basically play as many tutorials as you like. For each new tutorial, a new number of tokens in the pot is drawn.
