How does the additional payment work?

The additional payment that you receive from choosing option B varies in each of the 21 decision scenarios.
In the first scenario, the payment is $0 and then increases incrementally in each scenario thereafter by $2 up to a payment of $40.

The consequences of your decision in this scenario will be implemented as stated.
Each of the 21 scenarios has the same probability of being selected.
