In this task, you are a member.
Throughout this task, you will remain a member of the same group.
Please remember that:
- Your group’s Position (i.e., Position A or Position Z) can change from round to round.
- At the beginning of each round, your group’s coordinator learns if your group is in Position A or in Position Z.
- {% if player.condition == 'honest' %} The coordinator then informs its members which position they are in
{% else %} The coordinator then has to select a message to send to its members {% endif %}
(either ‘we are in Position A’ or ‘we are in Position Z’).
- You start each round with 20 points, and decide how many of your points (if any) to invest in the Challenge pool or to Keep to oneself:
- If members in Position Z invested fewer points in their Challenge pool than members in Position A invested in their Challenge pool, all points that members in Position Z Kept will be transferred to members in Position A.
- If members in Position Z invested more or an equal number of points in their Challenge pool compared to what members in Position A invested in their Challenge pool, members in both groups earn the points they Kept.
- Note: Members in Position Z cannot receive any points from members in Position A, even not if Position Z’s Challenge pool contains more points than Position A’s Challenge pool.
