Group Phase

<p>
    <strong> Instructions </strong>
<p> In the group phase, you will answer multiple-choice questions about finance and ask how you want to
    contribute your answer to the group. There will be <strong> 10 rounds in total </strong>.

    <strong> At every odd round, you will be randomly assigned to five groups of three </strong> and will have the
    chance to play two rounds with this group. The other members of your group is participating to the game right now.
    You have the opportunity to earn more money by answering correctly.</p>

<p> For each question, you will pick one answer. However, only one member of your group will be able to contribute
    their answer for the group. Their answer will count as the group answer. The software program will pick a random
    round among
    these ten rounds: you will win 1 dollar per correct answer and win 1 dollar for each correct <strong> group
    </strong> answer.However, you will lose 0.25 cents for an incorrect group answer.</p>

<p> You will now answer questions and decide how you want to contribute for each question. You will be asked to
    <strong>decide your place in line</strong>. You decide where in line you want to be compared to your group members
    in terms of who will answer the question for the group. You will be asked to choose your place in line :
    a number from 1 to 5. </p>

<p> The person with the lowest place in line from the group will have her or his answer be picked as the group answer.
    If there is a tie, the software program will randomly pick the answer between the people with the lowest place in
    line.

    Let's consider the following two examples :
</p>

    <strong> Example 1 </strong>
<ul>
    <li>Player 1 chooses 4 as her place in line and her answer is (c)</li>
    <li>Player 2 chooses 2 as his place in line and his answer is (c)</li>
    <li>Player 3 chooses 3 as her place in line and her answer is (b)</li>
</ul>
In Example 1, Player 2 will be the group contributor and the group answer will then be (c).

    <strong> Example 2 </strong>
<ul>
    <li>Player 1 chooses 1 as her place in line and her answer is (a)</li>
    <li>Player 2 chooses 4 as his place in line and his answer is (c)</li>
    <li>Player 3 chooses 1 as her place in line and her answer is (b)</li>
</ul>
In Example 2, Player 1 and Player 3 have chosen the same place in line. The software program will thus pick with equal
probability the group answer to be either (a) or (b).
