<p align="justify">The Secretary of Foreign Affairs oversees the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). The DFA is an
    executive department of the Idemorean government. Its mission is to safeguard Idemore’s strategic interests abroad
    and its relations with other countries. To date, the priorities of the DFA are:</p>

        <li>To uphold and enhance national security and sovereignty</li>
        <li>To further enhance economic development and cooperation</li>
        <li>To protect the rights and well-being of citizens abroad</li>
    </ul>

<p align="justify">
    In order to meet its mission, the DFA frequently works with other executive departments in order to meet its
    mission. Its actions are tempered by the desire for peace and stability both within and outside the region. The
    constitution prohibits unwarranted aggression as an instrument of foreign policy.

    Unfortunately, technological developments such as the growing offensive use of cyberspace by state and non-state
    actors further complicates matters. In response, Idemore has spearheaded a number of initiatives to establish norms
    governing acceptable state behavior that are aligned with the tenets of International Humanitarian Law (IHL).
