<p align="justify">The Secretary of Information Technology and Security oversees the Department of Information
    Technology & Security (DITS). The DITS is an executive department of the Idemorean government. Its mission is to
    promote the secure and effective use of information and communications technology. To date, the priorities of the
    DITS are:</p>

    <ul>
        <li>To promote e-governance as a means of improving public services</li>
        <li>To support economic development through information & communication technologies</li>
        <li>To improve national cyber security </li>
    </ul>
</p>
<p align="justify">
    In order to meet its mission, the DITS is engaged in a number of projects that include the establishment of an
    online platform for the National Health and Tax Services, extending support to technology entrepreneurs, and
    establishing a national baseline for cyber security.
</p>
<p align="justify">
    With respect to the latter, DITS is tasked primarily with securing government (non-military) infrastructure and
    services. The security of private individuals and enterprises are not its responsibility although it does provide
    technical and educational support through I-CERT, the national computer emergency response team.
