We surveyed 169 companies that represent each industry among the companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and created a ranking for "financial performance" and "CSR performance". At this time, the ranking results of "Financial Performance" and "CSR Performance" of Company A are as follows. "Financial performance" comprehensively evaluates profitability, growth potential, and security. CSR performance is comprehensively evaluated from environmental and social aspects.

Since its foundation, the Company A Group has been developing the meat business, starting with the production of processed foods, and has further expanded its business fields such as processed foods, processed marine products, dairy products, and health foods. I have been doing business with a desire to deliver products to people around the world.
However, a pesticide contamination incident occurred at the ABC subsidiary XY factory at the end of 2017. This has caused a great deal of inconvenience, anxiety, and concerns for customers, business partners, shareholders, and other people nationwide. I apologize here again.
In the case, it became apparent that our management had not been able to permeate the philosophy, that is, to ensure that the focus of consumers, which is the mission of food companies, was not thoroughly understood throughout the Group. And it became clear that we had only a very vulnerable crisis management system, as typified by the incorrect publication of pesticide toxicity assessments. These are real problems for food companies. In order to prevent this from happening again, all employees of the entire group, in addition to those in charge of management, must seriously face the problem, reflect deeply, work out measures carefully, and focus on restoring trust.
In order to deepen our reflections and promote measures to address the issues, on January 31, 2018, the Group launched the `` Third-Party Verification Committee on the Incident of Pesticides at ABC XY Plant '' (hereinafter `` Third-Party Verification Committee ''). Committee)). The purpose of this committee is to examine and evaluate the problems revealed through the incident from an objective point of view, and to make recommendations on what the food company group should look like. On July 22, 2018, an improvement measure was formulated based on the eight items of "Suggestions for ABC's XY Plant" pointed out by the Third-Party Verification Committee. We submitted this to the XY governor and reported that some lines will be reopened from August 1. We have just taken the first step in restoring the trust of the Group A, but I would like to return to the starting point once again and work diligently on improvements and reforms.
All employees are working together to prevent a recurrence in order to prevent the same scandal. We will share the problems and lessons learned from the recent incident with the entire Group, and will not only prevent a recurrence but also work to strengthen legal compliance.
