Task 1

For Task 1 you will be asked to solve a set of problems independently. You will be given 5 minutes to answer these problems. For calculation questions, you cannot use a calculator, however you are welcome to use a pen and paper. Your answers to the problems are anonymous. 

You get 5 cents per problem you solve correctly in the 5 minutes. Your payment does not decrease if you provide an incorrect answer to a problem. We refer to this payment as the piece rate payment. You will not be informed of how many questions you correctly solve in this task until the end of the experiment. 

Please DO NOT use a calculator during the experiment. Your honesty is very important to our research. We do appreciate your cooperation!
