{{ block title }} Information Sheet {{ endblock }} {{ block content }} You have signed up to participate in a study of the economics of decision-making. You understand that the study will involve the use of approximately 300 participants.

After completing the study, you will receive the money that you earn during this study. You understand that your earnings will depend upon your own choices.

You can withdraw from the study at any time, without giving any justification. If you have to stop before completing the study, you will forfeit the payment. Both the time and the payment vary in this study. Earnings in studies like this vary from about $1 to over $5 and the time would vary from about 10 to 20 minutes. No personal information will be stored and all choices you make are confidential and anonymous. You will be subject to minimal risk by participating in this study, which might be associated with working at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Your benefits will include the monetary reward that you will receive at the end of today’s experiment.

This study is confidential, no personal data will be collected. Therefore, no identifiers linking you to the study will be included in any sort of report that might be published. This also means that once you have participated, you will not be able to withdraw ex-post as there is no way to link your individual data with your identity. Research data will be stored securely and only Dr Andis Sofianos and his collaborators in this study will have access to the records for the duration of the analysis. When the results of the study are published in an academic journal, the research data will be stored in an online data repository and will remain accessible for a minimum of ten years and can be used for other studies.

Your decision to participate will not affect your current or future relations with Durham University. If you decide to participate, you are free to refuse to answer any of the questions that may make you uncomfortable. You can contact Dr Andis Sofianos (andis.sofianos@durham.ac.uk) with any questions regarding the study.

If you have any condition which makes it difficult for you to process written material, please notify the experimenter.
