1. Player B works on a decoding task for two rounds, each with a different mix of two- and four-letter combinations. Thus, the overall difficulty may vary between rounds.
2. Player B receives summary information about their own performance, and performance information from a reference group. Based on that information, Player B provides a self-assessment.
3. Player A must assess the overall performance of Player B. To do so, Player A receives the number of letter combinations solved by Player B, Player B‘s self-assessment, and the performance information from the reference group. If the overall performance evaluation score that Player A assigns is in the top 25 percent of all Player B‘s in today‘s session, Player B receives a 2 EUR bonus.
4. Player B learns the evaluation provided by Player A at the end of today‘s session. However, as the evaluation is communicated through the anonymous computer system, it is not possible for Player B to find out with which Player A (other participant) they have been matched in today‘s session.
