    <u><h6> Subject Consent for experiment IRB-FY2023-7088 </h6></u>
    You have been invited to take part in a research study to learn more about decision-making in real-effort tasks. This study will be conducted by Victoria Wang, GSAS - Graduate School of Arts and Science (GSAS), Arts & Science, New York University and Michael Gilligan, GSAS - Graduate School of Arts and Science (GSAS), Arts & Science, New York University.<br>

    If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to do the following:<br>

    Participation in this study will involve 10 minutes of your time. There are no known risks associated with your participation in this research beyond those of everyday life.<br>

    You will receive payments for your contribution to the experiment. <br>

    Confidentiality of your research records will be strictly maintained. You are completely anonymous throughout the experiment. Your information from this study will not be used for future research.<br>

    Participation in this study is voluntary. You may refuse to participate or withdraw at any time without penalty. <br>

    If there is anything about the study or your participation that is unclear or that you do not understand, if you have questions or wish to report a research-related problem, you may contact Victoria Wang at hw1849@nyu.edu.<br>

    <u><h6> General Rules</h6></u>
      This experiment has two parts. You first complete two rounds of slider tasks to earn <b>tokens</b>, then complete a simple survey to earn some extra <b>tokens</b>. For every <b>tokens</b> earned, you will receive 0.05 dollars.

    <u><h6> Payment </h6></u>
<ul>
  <li>
    During your part in the game, you move sliders to the middle point (at 50 on a scale of 0-100) to earn <b>tokens</b> You earn tokens by completing as many sliders as you can. <b>YOU NEED TO COMPLETE AT LEAST 5 SLIDERS EACH ROUND</b>. 
  </li>
  <li>
    During your part in the survey, you are given 6 extra <b>tokens</b> and you may decide how to distribute the tokens with a random participant.
  </li>
    <li>
      At the end of your part in the experiment, you will be presented your earnings from your tasks. In the event that you do not complete even just one of the tasks, you will be excluded from the experiment and will not be remunerated. In other words, you need to complete the experiment to get paid.
