Thando, your very good friend, works very hard on an investment report for a client. She hands this report to her line manager 2 days before the official deadline. Three weeks later, she and her line manager have a meeting with this client. In this meeting, the client complains that the report was one week late, the line manager explains that Thando submitted the report late, when the truth was that the line manager forgot to look over the report and send it to the client by the deadline. Thando is upset that her line manager lied to the client.
