    The global fashion industry has a very high environmental footprint. It produces around <b>10%</b> of the global CO² emissions and is a major consumer of water, being responsible for around <b>20%</b> of the industrial water pollution worldwide.

   There is also a huge <b>social impact</b> related to this industry. Around 60 million people worldwide are employed in the garment supply chain, some of them under precarious working conditions. Child labour, for instance, is still persistent in the fashion industry.
