Instructions

You are randomly assigned with another player, which will stay your partner/opponent throughout the entire experiment.
In each round, your group of 2 players has to decide how to divide up the amount of 100 currency value between the two of you. Each of you will do that by indicating which value of the amount of money you would like to claim for yourself, without knowing your partner's choice.
If the sum of your amounts is the same or less than 100 currency value, both of you will receive your submitted amount of money (separately in every round). If the sum of your chosen amounts of money is greater than 100 currency value, both of you receive 0 currency value in that round.

The experiment is divided into 2 parts and consists of 10 rounds each. So in total 20 rounds are played.

In the first part of the experiment, you are only told whether the division of the 100 currency value worked or not.
In the second part, however, you are additionally told what amount of money your opponent chose to claim for himself in the previous round (and whether the division worked or not).

All your own currency values are added up and after 20 rounds the final score is the currency value you achieved!

However, after every round we will ask you why you chose your number.
