Thank you for participating in this research study. The purpose of the study was to examine whether social categories, such as gender, of a counterpart may affect the choices made in decision tasks, such as the one you participated in today.

Due to practical limitations, this study is not running synchronously. We will manually pair your response with the response of another participant who is holding a different role in the decision task, and you will be compensated accordingly.

We are still in the process of analyzing the data and writing up the results of our research, but if this general topic sounds interesting to you, we can recommend the following article: Kramer, Roderick M. "Rethinking Trust." Harvard Business Review 87.6 (2009): 68-77 (https://hbr.org/2009/06/rethinking-trust).

As a reminder, you have the right to withdraw from this study at any time.

Thanks again for your participation—we really appreciate it!

Now please click the "Next Button" to return to Prolific to collect your compensation.
