<p>Please read these instructions carefully. At no time will there be any deception used in this study.  It is important that you understand all the instructions because the amount of money you earn will depend on the decisions you make. Throughout the study, you will be identified only by a participant number. No one, including the researchers, can link your decision to you personally. Therefore, all your decisions will remain anonymous. </p>
  
<p>In this study, you will act as either a manager or an internal consultant in Charley’s Inc. <b>Whether you are a manager or a consultant will be randomly determined later</b>. Participants who are assigned to the consultant role will be given relevant information that enables them to provide consultation. Once your role is assigned, you will remain in that role throughout the experiment.

During the experiment, your earnings will be calculated in “dimra” (an experimental currency) and will be converted into dollars at the rate of 1,000 dimra = $1. Your earnings from the experiment and your participation fee will be paid through prolific account after your submission is approved.  Following the instructions, you may take a short quiz to confirm your understanding. Please note that your earnings will be zero if you choose to exit before the end of the study.
