The study investigates how individuals make decisions in an organizational setting. Expected duration is about 10 minutes.
No risks beyond those ordinarily encountered when completing online information in daily life are expected.
You are unlikely to directly benefit, but your participation may help researchers understand how elements of performance feedback affect employee performance.
Compensation: Base pay of $2; additional payment is possible based on your decisions in the experiment.
Participation is entirely your choice. You may decline or withdraw at any time without penalty or loss of benefits.
Project Title: Information Acquisition in Budget Reporting

To investigate how individuals make decisions in an organizational setting.
You will complete a computer task in the role of a worker and answer questions about actions in certain situations. Approximate duration is 10 minutes. Base pay is $2; additional payment may be earned based on your decisions. Demographic questions will be asked before exiting. Payment is via Prolific upon approval.
No greater than minimal risk associated with typical online activities.
No direct benefits are expected; results may aid research into performance feedback and employee performance.

U.S. tax law may require tax reporting (e.g., 1099-MISC at ≥ $600/year for U.S. residents; 30% withholding for some non-U.S. cases). Address and Tax I.D. may be collected by Georgia Tech solely for compensation processing, if applicable.
Responses will be de-identified; results reported in aggregate. Records may be reviewed by the Georgia Tech IRB and the Office of Human Research Protections as required by law. Note: the experiment is not hosted on a secure credit-card-grade server; while unlikely, unauthorized access is possible. Web servers may log your IP address; otherwise, no additional information is stored unless explicitly entered by you.
