The Ministry of Public Affairs is responsible for preparing and implementing government policy related to transport and infrastructure, and regional development. The Ministry has two directorate generals: the Directorate General of Transport and Infrastructure and the Directorate General of Regional Development. The Directorate General of Regional Development coordinates four regional offices: South, West, East, and North.
The structure of the Ministry of Public Affairs is as followed:
You have been working for more than 10 years now under the Directorate General of Regional Development. During the course of your assignment, you work in two areas of placement: in the South and the North region. You spent 5 years in the South region and then 5 years in the North region.
You spent five years in the South office. You are close to your colleagues at the South office because you were all of similar age, and you studied at the same university. You often hang out with them after work to reminisce about the good old times. You often laugh reminiscing at your past, like when you sang along to a song you did not know the lyrics of or when you pulled an all-nighter to prepare for the exam just to realize that it had been canceled the next morning. You felt entirely comfortable with your colleagues.
You spent five years in the North office. You had a pleasant experience during your assignment. Even though you were new to the area, you immediately adapted well because it turned out that most of your colleagues went to the same club as you. They offered you an excellent networking opportunity, both for work and socializing. They took you to a special stand-up comedy show by a retired Michelin star chef. There was nothing quite like interacting with unexpected people and sharing good times with people who share your passion.
You work well both in the South and North regions, which resulted in your promotion to a head official. Some colleagues who worked in the South and North offices around the same time as you also received their well-deserved promotions. You grow and succeed together.
As part of the ministerial policy, before another assignment in other regions, a head official will spend a year in Directorate General Office. During your placement in the Directorate General Office, The Minister of Public Affairs announces an open tender for lucrative construction project. This big project will be divided into smaller construction and procurement contracts that will be handled by the head officials assigned in different regions.
